We are located in Saint Agatha, Maine off Flat Mountain Road. This fourth generation farm, established by Romain Chasse, continues to give back to this beautiful Northern Maine community that was established in the 1890's.
Gaetan and Therese (Chasse) Rossignol are some of the leaders in raising beef cattle (grass fed/grass finished in Northern Maine. Carrying thirty to forty head of Cattle through a Northern Maine Winter. It can reach -45 below, 50 mph winds, and can get 2 to 3 feet of snow in a storm.

The Northern Butcheress
Dorothy is the owner and lead butcher for Songbird Meat Production. Born in Canada, raised in Saint Agatha, graduating from Wisdom Jr/Sr. High School in 2015.
She had a deep desire to provide, improve and revitalize our rural Northern Maine community in raising, producing and processing beef, pork and other foods.
She has established a reputation of integrity, hard work and skill with the craft of work she does. Her focus continues to be humane animal handling, maintaining the highest standard to cleanliness and hygiene with the day-to-day operations and design of our processing plant to USDA specifications.
Travis A Parent
Mr. Songbird
Travis is the CEO and Business Manager for Songbird Meat Production. Travis has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.
HIs focus and goal for Songbird Meat Production is to continue to revitalize our rural Northern Maine Community in access to Beef and Pork.
Travis hopes to span the operations of Songbird to continue to effectively establish zero waste production system that utilizes each part of the animals and to continue to improve access to the beef and pork raised directly here, in our community. He has a goal of providing peer-reviewed research on taste profiles and quality with beef raised in Maine/Northern New England.
Trai Parent
Butcher Shop Apprentice
Trai is a future 2026 Graduate of Wisdom Jr./Sr. High School. He has been involved in all the dynamics of Songbird Meat Production and Rossignol Farm. He has continued to step up through adversity loosing his younger brother, Teddy in March 2025 and cousin, Evie in April 2023,
He was named 2025 Wisdom Jr/Sr. High School Prom King, Wisdom Jr./Sr High School National Honor Society Member, 2025 Dirigo State Delegate hosted by the American Legion
2025 Little Ten Conference High School Football All-Academic Team as a Defensive Back
He was also named to 2026 All-Aroostook Instrumental Festival for Flute
